Apple Watch is not just a watch. It offers many features you can use in your daily life. Then, with Apple Fitness+, you can see your sports activity statistics. In this article, we will examine how to launch and work with the Workout app on Apple Watch and perform sports workouts with it.

Getting started with the Workout app on Apple Watch

The Workout app on your Apple Watch helps you organize your workouts and track your daily progress. It gives you tools to manage your individual workouts. On your Apple Watch, you can set specific goals, such as time, distance, or calories. Your Apple Watch tracks your progress, guides you through your workout, and summarizes your results. If you connect Apple Watch to Apple Fitness, your stats will be transferred from your Apple Watch to Apple Fitness, and you can use the Fitness app on your iPhone to see your full workout progress.

What is Workout app on Apple Watch?

The Workout app is very easy to use. The features of this app include selecting workouts, customizing them, and viewing statistics. We'll go over all of these in detail below.

Selecting a workout in the Apple Watch Workout app

To select a workout on your Apple Watch, go to the Workout app and swipe down to reveal a list of workouts. Then, select the workout you want. If you don't see the workout you want, tap the Add Workout button.

Apple Watch supports a wide range of workouts. From aerobic workouts like high-intensity interval training (HIIT), outdoor running, and stretching to anaerobic workouts like strength training, gym workouts, and kickboxing, the app's workout list includes items for a variety of sports, including baseball, basketball, and tennis. You can even track your stats for sports like baseball, basketball, and tennis with the Workout app.

Viewing metrics while working out with Apple Watch

Whenever you're working out, just look at your Apple Watch screen to see your activity stats. You can swipe right to see more metrics. These include calories burned, heart rate, distance walked or ran, etc.
